FS: Marantz PMD661 professional audio field recorder and 35mm Minolta MC Rokkor f1.8 lens http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/10270/fs-marantz-pmd661-professional-audio-field-recorder-and-35mm-minolta-mc-rokkor-f1.8-lens Mon, 28 Apr 2014 12:09:03 +0000 Psyco 10270@/talks/discussions Hi everybody,

I have a Marantz PDM661 solid state audio field recoder and a 35mm Minolta MC W. Rokkor - HH f1.8 lens for sale.

1) Marantz PMD661:

The quality of the internal electronics is so high, that you don't need a preamp (see an input noise ranking of many field recorders here: http://www.audiotranskription.de/mikrofoneingangsrauschen , scroll down to about the middle of the page).

Its a 2 channel recorder with phantom powered XLR inputs. For more info try the internet (or ask me via PM). Its a very solid built (e.g. metal housing) and it is in "like new" condition.

Included is the recorder, DC adapter, 2GB SD card (not in the picture), shoulder strap, manual, software CD, original box.

Asking 400 EUR (or best offer) + shipping from Germany.

2) 35mm Minolta MC Rokkor f1.8:

This was one of the best lensen available at its time. Its fast and renders a beautyfull boke. Its sharp and gets rid of the "electronic look" on all digital cameras. It really shines when used for portrait and beauty shots. And because of its metall body and smooth mechanics, the lens has a very nice feel when used.

The lens has a Minolta standart mount and a 55mm filter thread. Its focal length is 35mm and the iris can be opend up to f1.8. Focus distance is marked in meters and feet and close focus limit is about 30cm/1.0ft. (angle of view: 64° , optics: 8 lenses in 6 groups)

The lens is in nearly mint conditions (see picture, can send more just PM me). The only flaw it has, is a painting scratch on the bajonet mount, which was caused by an adapter. This scratch has no influence on functionallity and can't be seen when the lens is mounted to a camera. All lenses are scratch and dust(!) free. The iris is free of oil, all mechanical parts are working smooth and precise and the iris ring snapps in firmly. At all time the lens was handled with great care and stored accordingly.

Included is the lens and front+rear caps.

Asking 250 EUR (or best offer) + shipping from Germany.

BMD Ultrastudio mini recorder(thunderbolt) + GH3 + Wirecast for streaming http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/8577/bmd-ultrastudio-mini-recorderthunderbolt-gh3-wirecast-for-streaming Mon, 28 Oct 2013 01:13:41 +0000 andrevanberlo 8577@/talks/discussions Hey everyone,

To do some live streaming I’ve looked at many solutions and this one seems (at this point) the most ideal for my multi camera setup : hook up 3 gh3’s to 3 Ultrastudio mini recorders with thunderbolt and use wirecast to do the streaming and encoding on the mac pro/hackintosh.

I’ve seen however some conflicting messages on forums where it seems that the GH3 signal will not pass through the mini recorder, so does any one have experience with this? Can anyone confirm the mini recorder works with the GH3 and wirecast?

I believe the GH3 has 4:2:0 out and the codecs supported by the mini recorder are:   AVC-Intra, AVCHD, Canon XF MPEG2, Digital SLR, DV-NTSC, DV-PAL, DVCPRO50, DVCPROHD, DPX, HDV, XDCAM EX, XDCAM HD, XDCAM HD422, Apple ProRes 4444, Apple ProRes 422 (HQ), Apple ProRes 422, Apple ProRes (LT), Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy), Uncompressed 8-bit 4:2:2, Uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2.

So perhaps the GH3 might not work due to different colorspace?

Here a post where you see a setup using to minirecorders thunderbolt + usb camera to stream live with wirecast: htttp://forum.telestream.net/forum/messageview.aspx?catid=45&threadid=13444 The guy doesn't use a dslr but dedicated camera but you can use the mini recorders with wirecast, only question is, will it work with the GH3?!

Hope one of you can shed some light on this matter

Small high quality audio recorder http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/7117/small-high-quality-audio-recorder Fri, 31 May 2013 10:24:34 +0000 ade4all 7117@/talks/discussions Hi - am looking for a smallish audio recorder to use as a bit bucket using line in from SD mix pre-d. I would also like to use it connected to my Rode lav mic, sometimes as a poor mans radio mic ( i know I wont be able to monitor sound this way but when I'm filming on my own this can be really handy) I've been using Zoom h1 for this - have been reasonably happy with the results connected to the mix pre-d using its version of 'line' in - but using the zoom and rode lav has given me quite noisey hissy audio.

Is there a decent recorder out there that can handle true line in from the mix pre and has a low enough noise floor to create hiss free recordings when tethered to the Rode lav and can easily fit into someones pocket?

The Sony PCM-M10 has fairly good reviews and is my top choice at the moment, just wondered if there was something same size or possibly slightly smaller that has similar audio quality ? it would need to be a decent step up in quality from the Zoom h1

Any help would be gratefully received.....

Shotgun Microphone + Recorder combo http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/6394/shotgun-microphone-recorder-combo Wed, 13 Mar 2013 19:56:51 +0000 Hakosuka 6394@/talks/discussions Can anyone recommened a good microphone and recorder combination for picking up dialogue both in and out doors. My budget is around £300 and I don't mind syncing sound separately in post. I've been looking at the NTG2 + Zoom/Tascam products but I see there's a lot of issues with pre-amps. I want a shotgun mic as I can just mount it on top of the camera and have the recorder attach to the shoulder rig or in my pocket. I should note I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to sound, I've made the mistake of diving straight in and buying a Zoom H1 after reading the hype and not doing my own proper research. This time around I want to do it properly. I'm happy with the NTG2 but I'm having a hard time trying to find a field recorder to go with it that won't cause me any issues.

Thanks for any help

FS: Fostex DC-R302 http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/6866/fs-fostex-dc-r302 Wed, 01 May 2013 17:53:43 +0000 MattRobertson7 6866@/talks/discussions Selling my Fostex DC-R302 audio mixer/recorder. Simply the best DSLR audio solution in my mind. 3channel XLR 48v phantom powered, with GREAT preamps (the best i've heard of any recorder in this class), records to SD cards, uses AA batteries (so if you run out of charge you can just pop em out in the middle of a shoot with fresh batteries), and has all the features you could possibly need.

I used this when I had my Gh2, but have moved to a Canon C100 these days, so don't have much of a need for it. I am tempted to keep it and feed the signal into the c100 when recording audio, but i would rather have the cash free. The preamps on this are definitely better than the c100 ones.

I am selling for $785+15 shipping to CONUS/Canada. I can ship international, but please contact me beforehand so I can get a quote of how much shipping would be.

There is a fair amount of wear on the unit, the finish seems to chip fairly easily, but it is made out of a really solid metal type finish, not plastic like a zoom h4n, so this thing can take a serious beating and never flinch.

Everything is fully functional, and works like a charm. Here are some pictures of the unit:

EDIT: Also, I have 100% ratings on eBay you can find my feedback at mattrobertson7

With $345 announced price.

BlackMagic recorder

Something tells me that selling old facioned cameras like AF100 for 200% profit will be tougher and tougher.

Bad thing is that BlackMagic is famous for paper announcments, like their H.264 recorder that had been postponed for almost a year.

Good thing is that making uncompressed recorder is not so complicated as proper H.264 encoder, contrary to common beliefs spreaded by camera manufacturers.

Modular cameras are real future.
