I've got a lot of life out of my GH2, but my interest in milking the best image out of it are long gone. I never delved into customizing my own hacks, so what parameters could be leveraged to break the image in interesting and beautiful ways? Finding guides is almost impossible do to all the generic ptools tutorials out there.

Panasonic GH4 glitches/issue http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/13512/panasonic-gh4-glitchesissue Fri, 07 Aug 2015 09:48:09 +0000 Tjibbe 13512@/talks/discussions Hey guys,

I've been having these glitches(see pictures below). They started a few months ago, (I checked my older footage). But it's not just mine, three rental models had the exact same issue! Is this a known issue with this model? It ruined a quite some of my shoots.

Also, I send for repair and they put in a new 'mainboard'. But that hasn't solved the problem. I returned it again but I don't have a good feeling about it.

Any suggestions?

Marks on video clips http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/15560/marks-on-video-clips Sun, 21 Aug 2016 09:05:22 +0000 curious2 15560@/talks/discussions Hello,

last month I noticed strange marks on my footage. I don't remember to see them before. I am quite sure that is not a camera problem, because I tried to record with two different Panasonic GH 2 cameras, one GH 1 camera and smal HD Panasonic camera. I also tried to change a graphic card and my SD cards, but didn't help. The marks are most visible on white walls in strong sun and on the blue sky. (You can see the marks on the video attached. This two video clips are exported from editing software. On clips I added brightness, contrast and sharpness so you can see better the marks. But the marks are visible also on raw footage)

I checked different topics on Personal view, but the only similar topic I found was Panasonic GH4 glitches/issue from Tjibbe. My problem is similar but it is not really the same.

Any suggestions?

Link to video clips (On the first clip look the marks on the white wall of the house. On the second clip look to the blue sky):

GH4 2-axis digital level is wrong http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/11860/gh4-2-axis-digital-level-is-wrong Thu, 27 Nov 2014 19:18:23 +0000 Steven 11860@/talks/discussions I got my new GH4 from B&H yesterday and the 2-axis digital level is incorrectly reporting the horizon level. If I set it on a table, it reports the horizon level as being somewhat off balance while the GH3's level is proper. I tried resetting everything and the problem, defect, or glitch still exists. I believe the firmware version is 1.1; if there's a newer one, I could try updating, but I have doubts it'll fix the problem. Has anyone experienced this problem? Any suggestions? It looks like I may have to send it back and exchange it for a replacement.

GH3 Audio Dropout Issue http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/7670/gh3-audio-dropout-issue Fri, 02 Aug 2013 20:01:36 +0000 rubefink 7670@/talks/discussions I'm shooting in FHD 24p with the most recent 1.2 firmware update. I'm losing audio on the ends of my clips. About 24 frames at the back end of a clip and about 4 frames at the front.

I took a screen grab from premiere so you can see how the waveform flatlines. https://www.dropbox.com/s/6f3ehk1dk3v986c/Audio%20Chopped%20off.jpg

This is a quirk that I may be able to work around by recording a second longer than usual but where it causes trouble is when you span a clip. The video is seamless but I do lose about a second of audio in between each clip which can ruin an interview if for some reason I don't have a second recorder set up.

This is at least on my camera.

Is anyone else having this problem?

GH2 Issue Horizontal Brown Lines http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/7174/gh2-issue-horizontal-brown-lines Wed, 05 Jun 2013 16:53:48 +0000 tdan84 7174@/talks/discussions Hi People,

Bought the GH2 last week and after an weekend filming and shooting photos, i noticed today strange Banding on the LCD and on the viewfinder. Most visible with very fast shutterspeed.

Is this a damaged LCD or damaged sensor? Anyone with the same problem?

Problem is visible with stock 1.1 firmware and also when i hack.

Thanks in advance.

GH2 Patches - Failures report - Common table. http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/3652/gh2-patches-failures-report-common-table. Thu, 21 Jun 2012 08:17:35 +0000 GuilleKloetzer 3652@/talks/discussions I´ve been thinking that it would be good to have a table in a dropbox or google doc where anybody can report bugs on any patch. This could be a standard and synthetic source of information or follow up of the patches performance. For the moment I think the only way to recollect info about this is to search in dozens of threads, and this is growing everyday. Is anybody doing a register already? I think the table should include the following columns: patch, brief description of bug or glitch, GH2 settings, SD card type, lens, link to download file if necessary. Any more suggestions?

thanks to anybody out there on this growing community

Wierd image glitch, first so far http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/2542/wierd-image-glitch-first-so-far Fri, 09 Mar 2012 14:41:17 +0000 spacewig 2542@/talks/discussions I don't know if anyone else has had this issue. I am currently editing a short that we filmed using Driftwood's Quantum V9b and of the hundreds of GB's of files that we recorded, this is the first time I see this. Basically I noticed a "flicker" during editing and when I looked closer (i.e. frame by frame) I noticed that the bottom 9/10ths of one frame (still03) was showing the info from a prior one. You can see that the hair in the top 1/10th of the frame is following the right sequence. I am using the 64/95 sandisk.

Anyone else have this issue? Perhaps someone knowledgeable could enlighten me as to how this might happen and if it is something that is avoidable or simply one of those things that can and will occasionally happen. I seriously hope this won't be a recurrent issue as I still have a lot of material left to edit.
