Lenses for GH4 on Zhiyun Crane? http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/16576/lenses-for-gh4-on-zhiyun-crane Fri, 10 Mar 2017 15:48:26 +0000 IS2 16576@/talks/discussions Hi all,

I've been super on the fence between getting a Ronin M or a Zhiyun Crane. I think I'm leaning towards the crane because it's much more portable realistically enabling more shooting freedom.

I know I unfortunately won't be able to use my lovely Sigma 18-35mm due to the size, so was wondering - which lenses do you all use on your GH4/crane set up and for what scenarios?

iFootage Crane mini M1 vs M5 - best decision http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/12944/ifootage-crane-mini-m1-vs-m5-best-decision Thu, 07 May 2015 00:56:56 +0000 Alexauwa 12944@/talks/discussions I've compared those to models for using it with my GH4. So far I only see a difference in the material, resulting in 1.4 to 3,4 kg in weight. Are there any other differences over the M5?

How is your experience?

Thank you!

Meet Cine-Altin Knight Driver http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/12965/meet-cine-altin-knight-driver Mon, 11 May 2015 14:17:54 +0000 CinemaLumix 12965@/talks/discussions The only equipment, screw driver that makes sense. Easy to handle and difficult to lose on the set. It will eliminate the constant search for a quarter in the depths of your pocket. It is durable and none bendable. And will look more professional. It is still in the prototype stages, but it is going to get a nice and thick rubber head grip and more improvements to the design! I would like any inputs or suggestions from my film colleagues. What do you think?

Varavon "cranes" and new S sliders thoughts http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/3000/varavon-cranes-and-new-s-sliders-thoughts Tue, 24 Apr 2012 22:44:47 +0000 jodydb 3000@/talks/discussions

I have the lite, which works fine, but am interested in the crane and the longer version. They also have little wheels that attack to the bottom of the crane that made me giggle... want them too...

does anyone have any tips on how to get steady speed on sliders with out crank other then handpush.pull? I've been using rubber bands with my lite slider and gh2, rokinon 35mm and loupe gets good results most of the time

maybe a future deal on here? eh

DIY Jib/Crane http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/1647/diy-jibcrane Tue, 06 Dec 2011 09:38:49 +0000 csaapi 1647@/talks/discussions
I'm Arpad from Hungary, and I just making a DIY camera crane. I hope I'll have time to make photos about it this weekend and will post to here.
But now I have some questions about it. I'm already ready with it, only want to mod the tripod mount. Now I'm using it on a 501HDV head with the QR plate, but I want to put it only on the center columns, but I need some kind of panning bearing.
Have you got any idea what can I put on it. I dont want to put on those Lazy Susan bearings, I dont like too much them.
I want something like this: http://www.proamcranes.com/shop/images/D/bearing_mount.jpg

thanks
