Not sure where to start http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/11416/want-to-get-into-adapting-lenses-to-my-gh4.-not-sure-where-to-start Sat, 27 Sep 2014 09:07:00 +0000 nosignal 11416@/talks/discussions Hi everyone! I recently upgraded from my gh2 to the new gh4.

I've got two m4/3 panasonic brand lenses (14-42kit and 20mm pancake).

I've been wanting to start adapting some foreign lenses to my gh2 and gh4 but I'm pretty clueless on where to start. Since there are so many options, I'm a bit overwhelmed on what route to go. I've read a bunch about people adapt FD mount lenses to their cameras. And I've read about the canon 50mm. I like doing hyperlapse and timelpase photography, also, a lot of different kinds of video work. I usually use my camera outside in the sun, and at night for timelapses. I guess I'm just looking to get some more variety in my choices.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks

VizTools reveals HandiZoom: Convert Canon DSLRs in a camcorder http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/2852/viztools-reveals-handizoom-convert-canon-dslrs-in-a-camcorder Fri, 13 Apr 2012 09:49:25 +0000 Manu4Vendetta 2852@/talks/discussions But only for Canon. :(

Wanna shoot really serious video of the sidewalk on your DSLR, but can't get along with those dicey standard controls? Then maybe VizTools has a solution -- or at least a working prototype it's readying for NAB. The HandiZoom can be operated with only one hand and does motorized zoom with adjustable speed settings, as well as various other primary controls. It hooks up to compatible Canon DSLRs using USB and a rail system, with the aim of making the camera feel more like a traditional news shooter. Check out the video after the break, and then maybe throw down a few more pennies to pair it with one of these.
