Is there a way to include comments?...

    ... in the settings file? I'm not talking about the [Comment] group, I would like to know if there is an escape character to comment out a particular line. Thanks in advance.

    I don't understand that you want to do, sorry. Why you want to comment particular line?

    I would like to include the 2 following lines in my settings file like this:

    // Uncomment the next line if you want extra timelapse flexibility

    // 1080i50 and 1080p24 GOP Size=13

    Is there an escape character like // in this case that allows me to place comments in the settings file?

    I just do not like your approach. Just make different complete setting. Forcing people to edit files is not good.
