What do we know about the novel coronavirus?

  • UN Secretary-General António Guterres on a visit to our pandemic classroom installation highlighting the 168 million students out of school for almost a year due to COVID-19.

As he has warned before, we’re facing a “generational catastrophe.” Reopening schools - and reopening better - is more urgent than ever. Children cannot afford another year of school closures.

Yet it was him who asked for mass school closures :-)

  • Eastern Europe Situation

The increase in the number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 and the shortage of medical personnel in the Czech Republic lead to a situation where the capacity of intensive care beds is approaching its absolute exhaustion. In some regions - Pilsen and Karlovy Vary - there are currently no vacancies in intensive care units, the same situation will soon be faced in Olomouc, Liberec and Pardubice.

In the Pardubice region, a state of massive threat to people has already been declared due to the critical situation in hospitals, which gives medical institutions the right to act in the same way as in the period of mass disasters. Medical professionals cannot pay equal attention to each patient and have the right to establish the procedure for treatment based on the principle of priority of the patient's interests.

The Czech Republic has agreed to provide 19 beds in German hospitals for Czech patients with COVID-19. This was announced on March 3 after a meeting of the Central Crisis Headquarters by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Head of the Headquarters Jan Hamacek. Switzerland offers another twenty beds, including transportation by own aircraft, to the Czech Republic, and negotiations are currently underway with Poland, which offered 200 beds.

    In Poland:

Health Minister Adam Nedzelski said Wednesday that the upward trend in the number of new cases of COVID-19 in the country is steady. Speaking at a press conference in Gdansk, the minister said that the government had made a decision to urgently provide additional consignments of protective masks at the disposal of the voivodships, where the largest increase in the number of new infections was recorded. Thus, the Pomorskie Voivodeship will receive 10 million protective masks, and the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship - 5 million. The masks will be distributed among the population free of charge.

  • Mortality in Mordor in January increased by 33.9% compared to the beginning of 2020. The number of deaths reached 219.8 thousand, and all of this disaster is accompanied by "all is good" media messages.

  • Doctors in Mordor currently treat COVID-19 not as a respiratory infection that affects lung tissue, but rather as systemic vasculitis. This is due to the fact that the virus affects the vascular endothelium in all organs, but through the lungs this process is easiest to see. Natalya Kostina, the chief freelance pulmonologist of the Voronezh region, spoke about this.

“These lesions, which we see in lung tissue, are usually found everywhere - in the kidneys, liver, in the skin. Therefore, what we see in the lung tissue is not pneumonia. Rather, these are signs of epitheliitis - vascular damage, damage to the vascular wall, ”she said.

According to her, the course of coronavirus infection does not end after the patient is discharged. Some people can be sick for up to six to eight months. In this case, the acute phase lasts on average up to four weeks after discharge, at which point complications may appear. Then, from four to twelve weeks, there is a subacute phase. During these two stages, both regression and progress of symptoms can be observed.

Three months after the first signs of COVID-19 appear, a "pure" postcovid begins, which, in all its manifestations, turned out to be similar to systemic vasculitis. It can be accompanied by very different symptoms, including neurological and from the gastrointestinal tract.

  • Life expectancy of someone with vasculitis is listed as 8 to 10 years.

  • We got vaccines here - and they cost 4$. But I dont know if vaccines will actually help. The second wave has started here.

Its a fucked up situation. If you get sick you die, and no one knows how efficient the vaccine is.

  • Segreto, R., & Deigin, Y. (2021). The genetic structure of SARS‐CoV‐2 does not rule out a laboratory origin. BioEssays, 43,

    https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/bies.202000240

    And response from mainstream guys:

Tyshkovskiy, A., Panchin, AY. (2021). There is no evidence of SARS‐CoV‐2 laboratory origin: Response to Segreto and Deigin. BioEssays. https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/bies.202000325

    Some arguments are strange

The raTG13 coronavirus from bats is the closest known relative of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. However, there is only 96.2% similarity between the two viruses at the genome level. From these differences, an approximate estimate of the time of divergence of these coronaviruses follows - 1948-1982 (40-70 years ago). Even cultivation in the laboratory will not significantly speed up this process: for example, cultivation of the related SARS virus (SARS-CoV) for 30 days resulted in only 0.02% differences at the genome level. Therefore, it would have taken more than 15 years to create SARS-CoV-2 from RaTG13 in such an experiment.

One might argue that there are methods to accelerate the accumulation of mutations during the evolution of viruses in the laboratory. However, such methods leave traces: some mutations occur more often with this approach than in natural conditions. On the evolutionary path leading to SARS-CoV-2, we do not see such traces.

One issue is that raTG13 information appeared after coronavirus leak or use and it came from Wuhan lab. No one really known if raTG13 ever existed in nature or it is quickly made up artificial virus (made only as genetic sequence and later printed upon request).

In their article, Deigin and Segreto write in the same way that using the methods of modern synthetic biology, it would be possible to print absolutely any genome, including the SARS-CoV-2 genome, "leaving no trace." This, of course, is so, but it is not an argument, since modern methods of synthetic biology could recreate any virus, and SARS-CoV-2 does not stand out here. With the same success, one could write an article on the laboratory origin of any of the causative agents of the common cold.

Argument is stupid. As almost till September 2020 scientists told that it is impossible to just print such complex viruses and only few open leaks about existence of such printers (and it seems like China don't have them still) in EU and US labs and also in few leading US tech giants secret labs, stopped all this stupid arguments.

We now 100% know that multiple labs can print viruses up to 100k DNA/RNA length without any visible defects and without any way to prove that they are artificial.

Such way also any talks about amount of genome difference are stupid. As labs can make huge jumps without you noticing any byproducts of this.

  • If you all want to see a catastrophe, just look to Brazil in the next weeks.

Even the richest state here (São Paulo, where I live) will have it's health system collapsed in 15 days. Smaller cities around here already had collapsed, 100-200 people waiting for a ICU unit vacancy, around 10-20 dying each day in each city.

  • @MarcioK

Well, sun exposure dropped. Time to check Vitamin D5 and quickly restore good levels.

Remember - people with good level are 10x less frequent visitors to hospitals, science proven.

  • Italy’s cabinet has approved new restrictions on business and movement that will be in place between March 15 to April 6, according to a statement from the government. Regions with more than 250 cases per 100K people will face full lockdown measures

  • The country where i live we have special case where a smal village about 250 have just one confirmed pozitive so they are in full lockdown because it exceeds 3 to 1000...

Crazy time's we are live in...

  • @garroulus

    We live in interesting times.

It all feels like final years of bureaucratic systems. As bureaucrats now 100% proved that they are unfit of running present modern societies.

  • @Vitaliy_Kiselev

Just few years ago wouldn't have thought possible but now it's kind of obvious...another 2 or 3 years like this and im not thinking only about covid and they damned themselves.

  • @garroulus

And most fun is that strongest of them - Chinese bureaucratic system is digging the hole for themselves with maximum speed.

Future is with complex cross control and dynamic societies. Lot of this goes against our instincts of horde animals.

For example - main cause why only 1-2% of forum visitors post even once lies in strong horde instincts, as most people think that it is not up to them to decide, not up to them to think - guys who lead the horde will do all this for them, we just need to elect proper ones this time (despite that all previous thousands of times we fucked up). Such instincts had been very important as they reduced number of conflicts and even existing conflicts usually had been limited in time and space. Lot of animals never even try to oppose leaders.

  • Interesting rumors from private talk

Flu total absence can be also tightly related with significant restrictions on air travel. Present flu spreading technique require transport of significant amount of special fluids that are being dispersed in target big cities, most of this are international flights. All of them had been transported using non cargo planes. During COVID it had been considered too risky to continue doing it, so all spreading operations had been stopped at least since May 2020. In nature spreading of flu is extremely inefficient and such stopping caused 100-1000x drop of cases in different regions.

We do not know if spreading network is being used now for COVID or it just wait for new wave of commands or new viruses.

  • @Vitaliy_Kiselev My pv it's that generally people are lazy and fearful my self included and to overcome the horde instincts necesitate very strong situations ( that can be very clearly seen on the horizon) so agree that after "previous thousands of times we fucked up" might be the wright time to do it properly.

  • @Vitaliy_Kiselev are you related to Tyler at zerohedge ? Your imagination is as fertile as his.

  • @zcream If you think think that it's about imagination you are highly mistaken...just have to look around yourself with kind of a critical eye.

  • @zcream

are you related to Tyler at zerohedge ? Your imagination is as fertile as his.

To be able to agree with what official medicine tells you about flu in 2020 you need much more wild imagination than mine :-)

Research of flu and previous coronaviruses spread is usually controlled by governments and in many years produced nothing but totally false information.

Long time ago here I posted info that flu and its complications are main cause of death of old people in nursing homes in Italy (before COVID).

  • Influenza has existed since the medieval era - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_influenza

You think that the flu spreading technique is 500 years old ?

  • @zcream

Nope. If someone will send you anthrax it is not much related with how long it exist on earth.

I just mean only modern spreading techniques that ensured that we'll have massive spreading each year and that enough people will die from complications, mostly old people.

Modern very fast and efficient flu mutations are very much related with big hordes of ferrets used by bio labs. Same way as COVID S protein is most efficient for ferrets receptors, for humans efficiency is little smaller. This proves at some stage ferrets had been used to quickly improve proteins efficiency.

My point is that ruling class is in actual and bloody war with oppressed people. And that they look at you same way as you look at screws and hammers, as soon as you are old, sick or inefficient - you must die (go to dump).
