UV protector lens aberration

    I got a 46mm uv protector (tiffen) for a GH2 but its introducing aberrations to the image. I would describe it as a purple tinted image offset. Has anybody found a brand that gives a clean image?

    Why use a UV protector instead of a clear filter?

    Yeah a clear filter is probably going to be better, I'll get one of those. thanks. I thought a UV protector would be clear enough I just bought it for lens protection.

    I am looking for a few screw in filters to protect my lenses when I don't use them. I am planning on leaving them on when shooting. I was thinking of getting UV and/or IR filters, but reading the above I might just stick to clear filters. Any advise?
