LAS VEGAS (January 4, 2018)-- REMOVU will showcase the brand's first camera, the REMOVU K1 self-stabilizing 4K hand-held camera, at CES 2018. The camera will be on display and available to demo at the REMOVU booth (South Hall 4- #36722) January 9-12 in Las Vegas.

The K1 was designed to address shortcomings the REMOVU team recognized in the hand-held camera market. The result is the first 4K camera with a 3-axis gimbal and a built-in LCD screen, offering a portable, all-in-one, user-friendly solution for anyone looking to document their adventures and memorable moments.

Capture Stunning Footage and Photos

The REMOVU K1 allows users to capture life's moments in stunning 4K @ 30FPS or take beautiful 12MP still photos. K1 is equipped with a 3-axis stabilizing gimbal, ensuring super clear images and smooth, stable footage without the shakiness and blur that commonly occurs with other solutions on the market. K1 also has a 4-way joystick that allows user to control the camera's position and a custom designed F2.8 wide angle lens to ensure everything makes it in the shot. REMOVU will also be launching the K1 mobile app for iOS and Android which will allow users to control the device remotely.

All-In-One Compact Solution

Unique to K1 is a 1.5" LCD screen built right into the device's handgrip. With the screen, users can easily preview their shot or play back recorded videos and photos. Other solutions on the market require the use of a smartphone or remote viewfinder, adding accessories, bulk and weight to the device. Eliminating the need for added accessories keeps the K1 lightweight, coming in at only 340g. The built-in features and controls also make the camera easy to use with a single hand and ideal for packing and traveling.

Never Miss a Moment

K1 is equipped with a powerful, interchangeable smart battery, providing up-to 4 hours of continuous filming on a single charge. To recharge, all that is needed is a USB charger; no bulky charging cradles are required. Users can also record video or take photos while charging the smart battery. K1 also has a high-quality built-in microphone that captures audio while recording video. To further enhance audio quality, users can also take advantage of the 3.5mm jack to connect K1 to an external microphone. A high-sensitivity omni-directional microphone is available in the K1 Accessory Kit.

Your Adventures with a Unique Point of View

K1 has four different modes to help user turn their adventures into a movie, including pan mode, follow mode, motion time-lapse mode and selfie mode. With the camera's 50-centimeter focal lens, users can get up close for the perfect selfie, using the trigger on the back of the K1 handgrip for a quick shot. K1 can also capture super slow-motion in full HD at 120FPS.

The REMOVU team possesses an extensive background in the imaging space. All products are designed by a team of in-house engineers with previous experience developing digital cameras and camcorders for Samsung Electronics, with Haesung Optics serving as the brand's majority owner. In 2015, the successful Indiegogo launch of the REMOVU S1, the world's first rainproof 3-axis gimbal stabilizer with a detachable remote controller, helped put the brand on the map and gain recognition as a leading GoPro accessories provider.

The REMOVU K1 retails at $429 and is currently available for preorder at www.removu.com. The camera will be available for purchase at and select retailers in February.

DJI Phantom 4 Pro v2.0 Drone http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/19666/dji-phantom-4-pro-v2.0-drone Tue, 08 May 2018 07:58:24 +0000 Vitaliy_Kiselev 19666@/talks/discussions image

About the DJI Phantom 4 Pro v2.0:

The new Phantom 4 Pro v2.0 features an OcuSync HD transmission system, which supports automatic dual-frequency band swiping and connects to DJI Goggles wirelessly. Like the Phantom 4 Pro and Advanced, the Phantom Pro v.20 is equipped with a 1-inch 20mp sensor capable of shooting 4K/60fps video and Burst Mode stills at 14fps. Plus, its FlightAutonomy system includes dual rear vision sensors and infrared sensing systems for a total of 5 directions of obstacle sensing and 4 directions of obstacle avoidance.

Camera with 1" 20mp Sensor:

The onboard camera has been redesigned to us a 1" 20mp CMOS sensor. A custom engineered lens made up of eight elements is arranged in seven groups, it is the first DJO camera to use a mechanical shutter, eliminating rolling shutter distortion which can occur when taking images of fast moving subjects or when flying at high speed. In effect, it is as powerful as many traditional ground cameras. More powerful video processing supports H.246 4K videos at 60fps or H.265 4K at 30fps, both with a 100mpbs bitrate. Advanced sensors and processors ensure everything is captured with more image detail and the image data needed for advanced post-production.

1-Inch 20-Megapixel CMOS Sensor:

Sensor size is more important to image quality that the number of pixels because a larger sensor captures more information in every pixel, improving dynamic range, signal-to-noise ration, and low light performance. The 1" 20mp CMOS sensor in the Phantom 4 Pro v.20 is almost four times the size of the Phantom 4's 1/2.3" sensor. It uses larger pixels and has a maximum ISO of 12800 as well as increase contrast. It is good enough for images to be used immediately, while also capturing enough detail for advanced post-processing.

Production Optimized 4K:

An enhanced video processing system allows video to be capture in cinema and production optimized DCI 4L/60fps at a bitrate of 100Mbps, enabling you to get high resolution slow motion shots. The Phantom 4 Pro v2. also supports H.265 video codec (Maximum resolution 4K/30fps). For a given bitrate, H.265 doubles the amount of image processing as H.264, resulting in significantly enhances image quality. Record in the high dynamic range D-log mode to make the most of this image data for color grading.

High Resolution Lens:

The resolution and contrast of a lens is critical to image quality, because only a quality lens capture sharp, vivid photos at high resolutions. The brand new Phantom 4 Pro v2.0 camera has an aerial optimized f/2.8 wide-angle lens with a 24mm equivalent focal length. It features eight elements -- 2 aspherical -- arranged in seven groups that fit into a smaller, more compact frame. Its images are consistently detailed with low distortion and low dispersion, ensuring that photos and videos are sharp and vivid. For the first even with DJO camera, MTF results have been made public, so people can get a better understanding of lens performance.

Mini "Action" Gimbals - Snoppa Vmate vs DJI Osmo Pocket vs FIMI etc. http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/23347/mini-action-gimbals-snoppa-vmate-vs-dji-osmo-pocket-vs-fimi-etc. Fri, 10 Jan 2020 09:53:47 +0000 tfinn 23347@/talks/discussions Sorry to start a new topic. I had seen a post on this new camera from Snoppa called the VMate, very similar to the DJI Osmo Pocket, for an Indiegogo campaign but now don't see it. I have some shoots coming up that would really benefit from such a low profile camera, and I believe today is the last day of the Vmate campaign so just trying to do some due diligence.

There are so many new products based on the DJI Osmo Pocket, I was curious of anyone has shot with any of these cameras and their experiences? The Vmate looked ok but it's hard to find footage, and the footage I did see looked awful, but it's hard to tell of that's the camera, YouTube compression, etc.

So just wanted to see if any PV members shoot with any of these gimbal camera, if they are worth it or if they're all garbage. Also, I am not plugged into DJI cameras in general, what their release calendar is typically like (if at all) so was wondering if I should wait for NAB for a new Pocket model.

"Parrot, Europe's leading drone group and the world number 2 on the consumer segment, unveiled its new-generation drone, ANAFI, on Wednesday June 6, with a positive welcome from the media. Designed in Paris by Parrot's engineers, the ANAFI drone meets four essential needs: portability, image quality, performance and ease of use.

Today, ANAFI offers:

  • A 4K HDR camera with zoom, a 21MP sensor, a 3-axis stabilization system with, for the first time, a 180 ° vertically rotating camera and a lossless zoom up to x2.8
  • An impressive flight time of 25 minutes, made possible by a "bio-inspired" design combined with a smart battery
  • An ultra-portable, compact, rugged, lightweight and foldable UAV with a USB-C charging system
  • A new intuitive app (FreeFlight 6) with automated drone and camera movements

For Henri Seydoux, Parrot's Chairman and CEO and leading shareholder: "ANAFI represents a major breakthrough for Parrot and for the world of civil drones in general. By combining the best image quality with advanced features and simple use in an ultra-light and portable drone, Parrot, Europe's leading drone manufacturer, has created a drone that can not only record unforgettable memories at home, but also offers a range of benefits for businesses. We spent two years working on this, drawing on our software and hardware expertise and identifying the best components to offer ANAFI to users of today and tomorrow".

ANAFI: the future starts now

Parrot has created a new-generation drone, part-robot, part-insect, inspired by bees: light, powerful and agile, with an exceptional field of vision.

ANAFI is the first drone to offer 4K HDR and 4K Cinema with an integrated zoom, weighs in at just 320 gr, the lightest in its class, and delivers a top speed of up to 55 kmph and a range of 4 km, all without compromising on its flight time (25 minutes) or features (autopilot, smart image capture, shape recognition and tracking, etc.).

ANAFI can be pre-ordered from today and will be available from July 1 from Parrot.com and Amazon, as well as select retailers in France (Fnac-Darty, Boulanger), North America (BestBuy), the UK (Dixons Carphone), Germany (MediaMarkt Saturn), and gradually the rest of the world, at a price of €699, $699 or £629.

ANAFI: unrivalled image quality, zoom and ultra-mobile gimbal

ANAFI is the only drone on the market to offer 4K HDR video capabilities.

While successfully meeting the challenge of image quality, Parrot has taken a major technological step forward. To both open up access to drones for beginners and meet the needs of enthusiasts and professionals, ANAFI uses the best software and hardware solutions available today.

Its specially developed camera and latest-generation Sony sensor make it possible to create spectacular 4K HDR videos (30fps) and 21MP photos with detailed image quality. It benefits from a wide-angle lens (110°) and two aspherical lenses designed to limit stray light and chromatic aberrations, combined with HDR technology. ANAFI enhances the rendering of backdrop scenes, offers incredible detail and optimizes the balance between light and shadow, ideal for filming bright skies or sunsets anywhere in the world (temperatures from -10°C to +40°C).

With FreeFlight 6, its dedicated mobile app, ANAFI meets expert needs with a choice of three video modes: 4K Cinema (24 fps), 4K UHD (24, 25, 30 fps) and 1080p (24, 25, 30, 48, 50 or 60 fps).

ANAFI's camera is mounted on a 3-axis stabilized gimbal that combines the best mechanical and digital stabilization capabilities. Lightweight and extremely powerful, it makes it possible to take photos and videos that were previously impossible to achieve with a drone from this class, thanks in particular to a vertical tilt of -90° to +90° and a -40° to +40° horizontal tilt to ensure horizon stabilization. In addition to these mechanical features, Parrot's digital stabilization expertise (+5° to -5° EIS) enables the drone to deliver impeccable travelling, even at high speeds. This unique system limits the angular vibration to 0.004° for super stable photos and videos.

ANAFI includes a lossless zoom feature, with 1.4x for 4K and 2.8x in full HD (1080p). It is also equipped with a 3x digital zoom feature thanks to the oversampling techniques developed by Parrot on ANAFI's 21MP sensor (5344x4016), which offers a resolution that is 1.4x higher than 4K (3840x2160) and 2.8x higher than 1080p (1920x1080). For users, a simple button on the Skycontroller3 makes it possible to zoom in from a distance and discover unsuspected details of a building, take close-ups of people or observe wild animals. The zoom feature is enhanced with a unique effect that opens up the world of video production to everyone: the Dolly Zoom, enabling you to zoom in on a fixed subject while moving the background away.

ANAFI: light and powerful for exceptional ease-of-use

While ANAFI has unique photo and video capabilities for its class, its flight performance levels are unrivalled for a lightweight, compact drone and, thanks to its smart design, it is also the quietest drone in its class.

ANAFI has a range of up to 4 km in an open environment thanks to its smart, autonomous use of wifi channels, combined with omnidirectional protocols specially developed by Parrot. Each ANAFI foot is equipped with a dual-band antenna (2.4GHz and 5GHz) to optimize connections with the Parrot Skycontroller3 remote-control, whatever the drone's orientation.

ANAFI is able to achieve a best-in-class flight time of 25 minutes thanks to its polymer lithium battery designed to deliver the best power density in a small volume and a high rate of discharge. ANAFI's battery, which continuously monitors its charge level to be able to return to its take-off position, has an integrated charger, compatible with the latest universal, mobile USB standard (USB-C). It also adapts to the power source: it charges more quickly when it identifies a powerful charger and has a hibernation mode to protect its internal chemistry.

With ANAFI, drones are opening up to everyone thanks to the new FreeFlight6 app. Renowned for its high-quality, user-friendly software, Parrot has developed FreeFlight6, a modern, intuitive interface, specifically for ANAFI.

This app offers two manual control modes: Film and Sport. In sport mode, ANAFI achieves peak speeds of up to 55 kmph and can withstand winds of 50 kmph. Users can also customize a range of settings, from the drone's inclination and rotation speed to the speed of its camera tilt.

The interaction between the Skycontroller3 long-range remote control and the FreeFlight6 app makes it possible to control the gimbal and zoom with two dedicated ergonomic keys.

The flight interface adapts to all users: beginners have access to automatic control modes, such as SmartDronies or CineShots, while professionals can select or customize camera settings. Alongside this, the cameraman and FollowMe modes use a neural network to reevaluate the target track for each image, with a focus on the shape recognition tracking system, benefiting from a smart learning process that uses a database of images of people and vehicles.

With ANAFI, Parrot is once again driving a breakthrough in the drone world and redefining standards with a next-generation drone that is ultra-portable, equipped with a 4K HDR camera, super-efficient and easy to use. Parrot ANAFI is positioned to offer a better experience to customers, building up on a strengthened sales and marketing strategy, leveraging its digital marketing capabilities and partnering with key selected retailers worldwide. The Group has generated over €500 million in revenues on consumer drones since 2010, with average annual growth of 17%, and it intends to return to growth in 2018."

November 15, 2016 – DJI, the world leader in unmanned aerial technology, Tuesday introduced two new drones that raise the bar for professional imaging: Inspire 2, the best ready-to-fly platform for high-end film and video creators, and Phantom 4 Pro, the smartest and most creative flying camera of its size.

“Professional filmmakers and photographers always push to create images that have never been seen before, and DJI never stops trying to give them the tools to achieve their vision,” said DJI CEO and Founder Frank Wang. “Our newest flight platforms and stabilized aerial cameras are smarter, faster and more powerful than ever before. We can’t wait to see how creators use Inspire 2 and Phantom 4 Pro to capture dazzling images.”

Professional Imaging

Phantom 4 Pro offers a powerful imaging system for professional photo and video creators as well as non-professionals who demand excellence from the camera and platform they use to pursue their creative visions. The camera now packs a 1-inch 20-megapixel sensor, and almost 12 stops of dynamic range bring out levels of detail and low-light performance unprecedented in a flying camera of this size. Its mechanical shutter eliminates rolling shutter distortion in fast-moving scenes. Phantom 4 Pro can capture slow-motion 4K video up to 60 fps at a maximum bitrate of 100 mbps. In addition, the Phantom 4 Pro offers H.265 video compression, which substantially improves video quality at the same bitrate.

Reliable with Enhanced FlightAutonomy System

Phantom 4 Pro builds on DJI’s original obstacle avoidance system with FlightAutonomy – three sets of visual systems that build a 3D map of obstacles in front, behind and below the aircraft, as well as infrared sensing systems on both sides. FlightAutonomy can position, navigate and plan routes for Phantom 4 Pro, enabling it to avoid obstacles in a sensing range up to 98 feet at front and rear, even in complex 3D environments. When returning to home and tapping to initiate auto takeoff or landing, the Landing Protection function is able to detect and help avoid landing on uneven ground or water. Phantom 4 Pro has high-performance battery technology that provides up to 30 minutes of flight time. The Phantom 4 Pro flies at 31 mph in P mode with obstacle avoidance in effect, and has a 45 mph top speed in sport mode.

Professional Control with New Remote Controller

Phantom 4 Pro’s revolutionary new compact remote controller comes with an optional high luminance display, providing a clear and vivid live HD view from the main camera as well as essential telemetry data, even in direct sunlight. The aircraft will automatically choose between 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz once powering on to gain a clear signal in areas with high radio interference. The new controller has a built-in GPS, compass, Micro-SD card slot and HDMI port.

Intelligent Flight

New intelligent flight modes make Phantom 4 Pro the smartest flying camera of its size, opening new vistas for creators, such as the new Draw Mode that allows operators to draw lines on the controller display and direct the Phantom 4 Pro to fly that route.

ActiveTrack recognizes common subjects such as people and bikes, then follows them from any angle while maintaining camera focus, and includes three new modes – New Circle, Profile and Spotlight.

Narrow sensing enhances obstacle avoidance sensitivity so the aircraft can fly through complex environments like narrow doorways. TapFly now works backwards and comes with a new Free mode that allows a pilot to set the direction of flight, turn the Phantom 4 Pro or tilt the gimbal without changing the direction of flight. With the new AR Route feature, operators will be able to tell the flight route on the screen.

As an additional safety feature, within a minute of losing GPS signal, the aircraft will automatically return to the last connected position and hover there precisely to wait for the pilot’s command. With the enhanced return to home function, the aircraft knows where it should be going from up to 984 feet away and avoids obstacles along the route.
