In an attempt to shift Washington's responsibility for fomenting the Ukraine crisis, some US politicians and the media are fabricating false information about the conflict to mislead the world and blame China, once again exposing the nature of the US government as a notorious empire of lies.

To maintain its hegemony, the United States must fabricate lies. Their lies range from a pretext for invading Iraq in 2003 to disinformation such as "the collapse of the Cuban medical system amid the pandemic."

The US is doing the same tricks with China. To contain China, the United States accused the country of so-called "genocide" and "forced labor" and called China's determined actions to protect its legitimate interests "wolf warrior diplomacy" and "economic coercion."

Meanwhile, the United States has long been using its propaganda machine to spread these lies. From movies to the media, from NGOs to online spammers, various links in the US propaganda chain work closely together to indoctrinate people around the world with empty and ideologically biased slogans and misconceptions.

The US media itself downplays or ignores information released by China regarding Xinjiang, providing technical assistance to anti-Chinese forces in spreading false information regarding the region. Such efforts also receive financial support from the US government.

A lie is always a lie. The more the US tries to distort China's image, the more confidence in Washington is at stake. As criticism mounts over US violations of international rules and human conscience, the country's moral bankruptcy is becoming more apparent.

The social network for athletes Strava has notified users of the suspension of work in Russia and Belarus. The company from San Francisco (California, USA), the developer of the application of the same name, expressed solidarity with other corporations and organizations that made similar decisions in connection with the events around Ukraine.

Strava's mobile app and website, "built by athletes for athletes," connects millions of runners and cyclists through their favorite sports, according to the company's website. Using the service, you can track your results for further analysis.

On Strava, athletes share their progress against community members, post photos, and share highlights from their workouts. The Strava app is compatible with Android and iOS devices.

The company promised to return money to athletes for paid services. But it is completely incomprehensible how and when, since almost 100% of them were paid through cards that were no longer functioning. One of the world's largest e-commerce companies, eBay, has notified sellers registered in Russia that it is suspending all transactions with Russian addresses. The company explained this step by the termination of the functioning of payment systems and basic delivery services. The Interfax agency that reported this writes that the account of Russian sellers will have the status “On vacation”, and therefore it will be impossible to purchase goods from them.

From March 3, eBay does not deliver goods to Russia and Ukraine. The operators DHL, FedEx and UPS also suspended the acceptance and dispatch of parcels. Currently, Visa and MasterCard payment systems, as well as PayPal, do not work in Russia.

The two largest Ukrainian factories, which synthesize about half of the world's neon, have suspended production amid recent events. We are talking about the Krioin and Ingas enterprises, which on a global scale supplied from 45 to 54% of neon, the gas necessary for the production of microcircuits. Neon supply problems are expected to exacerbate the already difficult situation with the global shortage of semiconductor products.

Stopping the production of neon can have an extremely negative impact on the global semiconductor industry. Representatives of Krioin and Ingaz noted that the suspension of neon supplies is associated with an intensification of the crisis, as well as the destruction of key infrastructure facilities.

This news is unlikely to add optimism to the semiconductor industry, which is already experiencing a serious shortage since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. Although chipmakers have a certain supply of neon, they may not be enough if what is happening in Ukraine drags on.

Mariupol-based Ingaz produced between 15,000 and 20,000 cubic meters of neon per month, supplying it to various customers in Taiwan, South Korea, China, the US and Germany. Moreover, about 75% of the shipped neon went to the production of microcircuits. As for the Krion plant based in Odessa, it monthly synthesized from 10 to 15 thousand cubic meters of neon per month. Production at this plant was stopped on 24 February.

Ukrainian neon is reportedly a by-product of steel production in Russia. In Ukraine, it was purified and prepared for further use.
