If Quentin Tarantino Directs 'Star Trek,' Is That His Final Film?

Quentin Tarantino has said for a long time that he'll only make ten feature films. But is there a loophole? As Tarantino gears up to release his ninth film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, he's hitting the interview circuit hard and being open about his inspirations and plans for the future. On a recent interview on CinemaBlend's ReelBlend podcast (which hasn't been released yet), Tarantino was asked about his Star Trek script. If you aren't aware, Tarantino pitched an idea for a Star Trek movie at Paramount and apparently has a script ready. He told Slashfilm in May: "The script has been written and when I emerge my head like Punxsutawney Phil, post-Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, we’ll pick up talking about it again." Last month, he also confirmed that his take on the cinematic universe would definitely be R-rated. Captain Kirk himself, William Shatner, tweeted some oblique support for Tarantino's edgy idea.
