Star Wars made James Cameron quit truck driving. Do you remember the first time you watched Star Wars? I can remember slipping the VHS into the player and entering another galaxy. I know how the music and huge reveals moved me. I know how they stirred my essence. Of course, I am not alone in this phenomenon, and neither are you. From the moment of its release in 1977, Star Wars has become a cultural phenomenon that has not only stood the test of time, but inspired sequels, prequels, and an entire world to be built for generations to come. Among the first generation of those influenced are some of our favorite filmmakers now. People like Ridley Scott, John Singleton, and Peter Jackson.
