Fujifilm Cameras Can Now Be Used as Webcams on Macs

Fujifilm's X Webcam software is now compatible with macOS. Mac users can now rejoice. Fujifilm previously announced it would make its X Webcam software that turns compatible cameras into a webcam available for macOS, and now, the company has delivered on that promise. The software was initially released for Windows only back in May. Today, users running macOS 10.12, 10.13, 10.14, or 10.15 will receive the same benefit. The utility turns X Series and GFX cameras, including the large format GFX100, into a high quality webcam. After downloading the software, the setup is straight-forward. Fujifilm notes that some of the camera settings may not be able to be adjusted while the camera is connected to a computer, so be sure to adjust those settings prior connecting it. Once set, and connected to the computer, the Fujifilm X Webcam utility will appear as an option in the application's video and audio settings, allowing your Fujfilm camera to be used with Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, and more.
